Overview

What this project explores

Workboard is a personal notebook-like workspace that can sit beside other applications. Text remains editable text, and drawings remain editable paths. The intended desktop target is Windows, with a browser development environment and a Tauri shell.

Product direction, interaction requirements and hands-on usability testing within an AI-assisted development collaboration.

Current state

What exists today

• Infinite canvas navigation and zoom, point and area text, freehand drawing and highlighting.
• Layer ordering, locking and visibility; local board saving and recovery.
• Text-session history is separated from board-level undo and redo.
• Manual acceptance of the current release candidate remains open. Native Windows behavior and native file saving are not yet verified.
• The eraser still needs geometric improvements. Images, tabs and full rich-text formatting are future capabilities.
